Designed a closed-loop cooling system for a DED 3D printer to enable higher substrate temperatures.

What I Owned
Owned the design of the cooling system and led in manufacturing, installation, and validation.
Requirement: System must support 3 kg of weight. Any supports must be kept airtight from outside environments. Design must be removable. System must avoid position limits of the print table.
Result: Fans were mounted without failures. Fans operate as intended.
Requirement: System must cool argon temperatures to around 45C near the print head. Ducting must connect to an air curtain to protect the viewing window. System must avoid critical geometries and leave room for an Infrared Camera system.
